HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS EMAIL

Don't forget you are welcome to come to our Yom Kippur services!  We welcome people at the door!

The evening service starts at 7 pm.  The Erev Dinner (for lodgers and for those who registered) begins at 5 pm.  Please come on time!  If you didn't register for a meal with us, then stop at a restaurant in Simi or have a picnic at BBI (Kosher or vegetarian, please).  On Monday services start at 10 am and go til sunset.

We hope you'll be inspired by Lilli blowing the shofar, by our meaningful and deep services with our beautiful music and soulful Avinu Malkenu prayers!

We want to connect with you.

HIGH HOLY DAYS REMINDERS

Don't forget your PRAYERBOOK and your PARKING PASS!  Maybe put them in your car now while you are thinking about it!

PLEASE BRING YOUR SHABBAT CANDLESTICKS.  We begin the service with a special candle lighting ceremony.

PLEASE BRING FOOD FOR SOVA.

Peanut butter, canned fish, canned soup, tomato sauce, canned vegetables, rice, canned fruits, juices, canned meat, diapers, cereal, dry pasta, cooking oil, soal, body lotion, shampoo, razors, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes.  NO GLASS containers.

Or write a check!  Make it out to SOVA and turn it in to us at High Holy Days.  Or contribute online at www.jfsla.org/sova

LOST PRAYERBOOKS

Last year two prayerbooks were taken by mistake.  They contained personal treasures and memories from many years.  Please check and see if you have a prayerbook that is not yours.  If so, please email Peggi and we'll arrange to get them to their sad owners!  No questions asked.  Also a tallis.

This year we loaned out a few prayerbooks at Rosh Hashana.  3 were NOT returned.  If you took them by mistake, please return them.  We only have a few to sell at Yom Kippur.  If we do have any left, we'll loan them in exchange for your car keys.  Then we won't have this problem!

Please bring your prayerbook with you!
